Ministries/Outreach

Supporting the greater community is an integral part of who we are.

One Great Hour of Sharing

One Great Hour of Sharing is an offering that makes the love of Christ real for individuals and communities around the world who suffer the effects of disaster, conflict, or severe economic hardship, and for those who serve them through gifts of money and time.

Every year during Lent donations are collected for One Great Hour of Sharing.

Same Café

So All May Eat
2023 E. Colfax, Denver CO 80206
Hours: Mon-Sat 11AM-at least 2PM Closed Sundays & Federal Holidays
Phone: (720) 530-6853; E-mail: info@soallmayeat.org

SAME Cafe is unique in the lack of a set menu as well as set prices. Daily selections are made using fresh, organic ingredients, and funded by the donations of patrons. Instead of a cash register, a donation box is available for one to pay what they felt their meal was worth, or to leave a little more and help out someone less fortunate. If a diner does not have sufficient money to leave, they are encouraged to exchange an hour of service.

Heifer International

With gifts of livestock and training, we help families improve their nutrition and generate income in sustainable ways. We refer to the animals as “living loans” because in exchange for their livestock and training, families agree to give one of its animal’s offspring to another family in need. It’s called Passing on the Gift – a cornerstone of our mission that creates an ever-expanding network of hope and peace.

Nyumbani Children’s Home

Founded in 1992, Nyumbani Children’s Home is an active response to the rising number of HIV infected children born in Africa every day.

At Nyumbani, ‘home’ in Swahili, children are cared for until a definite assessment of their HIV status can be made. Children who are eventually found not to have the virus are adopted or find other homes. Children who are found to be HIV+ are given the best nutritional, medical, in particular, anti-retroviral therapy, psychological, academic, spiritual care available and live at Nyumbani until they become self-reliant.

Nyumbani is home to approximately 100 children ranging in age from newborn to twenty-three years old.

Habitat for Humanity

Through the work of Habitat, thousands of low-income families have found new hope in the form of affordable housing. Churches, community groups and others have joined together to successfully tackle a significant social problem ― decent housing for all.

Aurora CROP Walk

CROP Hunger Walks are neighbors from different faiths, cultures, and ages, walking together to take a stand against hunger in our world.  Together we raise awareness and funds for international relief and development , as well as local hunger-fighting agencies.  Some 2,000 communities across the country take part each  year.

Where does the money go?  CROP Hunger Walks help fight hunger and poverty around the world, including the United States.  Up to 25% of what is raised can assist food banks, pantries, community gardens and other local hunger-fighting initiatives.

What’s the point of walking?  Hungry people in developing countries typically walk as much as six miles a day to get food, water and fuel, and to take their goods to market.  We walk to be in solidarity with their struggle for existence.  We walk because they walk!
